Large-Format, Temperature-Controlled Precision Pitch Polishing
This customized Lapmaster Model 84 pitch polishing machine combines a massive 84-inch precision tabletop with a 67-inch submerged pitch polishing surface designed for demanding flat-optics production.
The polishing surface operates within a temperature-controlled environment using cooling and heating systems to maintain consistent operating conditions. Flatness is controlled using a 33-inch diameter tuning piece, providing a specialized polishing platform for large and precision-critical optical components.
